30 MW Power Plant (Phase I), Chakabura, Chhattisgarh
The 30 MW power plant is located in Chakabura, Chhattisgarh. The plant was a pilot project set up by us to utilize the by-products of our coal beneficiation business in a power plant. The plant was commissioned in February 2007 at a cost of Rs. 991.96 million, financed through debt of Rs. 650 million and equity of Rs. 341.96 million. The plant is owned by ACB (India) Limited.
Presently the plant is fuelled by reprocessed coal rejects generated by our coal beneficiation facility located in Chakabura. The water for the plant is sourced from the Kholar Nalla, Korai, which is adjacent to the project site.
