In March 2015, our Subsidiary, SCPL acquired 91.93% equity stake in SV Power Private Limited. SVPPL has set
up one 60 MW coal reject based thermal power plant at village Renki, District Korba, Chhattisgarh (“Renki Power
Plant”). The site is located approximately 20 kilometres from Korba (nearest town).
The primary fuel for the Renki Power Plant will be coal rejects, reprocessed coal rejects and / or blended coal. The
expected consumption of coal for the project is 0.45 MTPA, at a Plant Load Factor of 80%. Reject coal generated
from the coal washery of SVPPL will be used for blending with raw coal.
SVPPL has been granted the allocation of 5.50 million cubic meters per annum of water from the river Leelagar on
December 22, 2007 by the Water Resources Department, Government of Chhattisgarh.
SVPPL has entered into an agreement with Chhattisgarh SPTC dated May 29, 2015 whereby they have been granted
permission to connect the generating plant to pooling substation.
