History
ACB (India) Limited, the flagship Company of Group, was incorporated in March 1997 as Aryan Coal Benefications Private Limited. It started its operations from Korba Coalfields of South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) in Chhattisgarh in the year 1999. ACB made foray into the thermal power generation by undertaking a 30 MW Pilot Power Project in 2007, using coal washery rejects as fuel. The plant is located adjacent to its Coal Beneficiation Plant at Chakabura in Korba District of Chhattisgarh.
Washery Operations
ACB (India) Limited started its operations in 1999, setting up a coal washery in the Korba Coalfields of SECL in Chhattisgarh. The initial capacity was 1 MTPA, which has been expanded to 14 MTPA, making it the largest washery in India. The company has an aggregate designed coal beneficiation capacity of 45 MTPA in Chhattisgarh. Major customers include power houses from various states and private players.

The company entered the power sector with a 15 MW Wind Mills project in 2005 and a 30 MW reject coal-based thermal power plant in 2007. ACBIL has since established multiple coal-based thermal power plants in Chhattisgarh, with a combined installed capacity of over 1000 MW. Our associate company, Spectrum Power Generation Limited was operating a 208 MW gas-based power plant in Andhra Pradesh.

Incorporated as a Private Limited Company
First coal beneficiation plant
Our Company's first coal beneficiation plant was planned and commissioned at Dipka, Korba District, Chhattisgarh with an initial capacity of 1 MTPA.
First major work order for coal beneficiation
Receipt of our first major work order for beneficiation of up to 1.8 MTPA of raw coal from Punjab State Electricity Board.
Expansion to Maharashtra and Odisha
Expansion of business to the state of Maharashtra by setting up a coal beneficiation plant at Pandarpauni, Maharashtra, with an initial capacity of 1.62 MTPA. Aryan Energy Private Limited, our Subsidiary, commissioned its first coal beneficiation plant with an initial capacity of 2 MTPA in Balanda, Odisha.
Further expansion and manufacturing plant setup
Further expansion of our coal beneficiation capacity by commissioning a new coal beneficiation plant at Chakabura, Chhattisgarh with an initial capacity of 2 MTPA. The manufacturing plant for coal beneficiation equipment at Rewari, Haryana was set up by Aryan Clean Coal Technologies Private Limited, our Subsidiary.
Wind power plant and further coal beneficiation expansion
15MW wind mill project was commissioned in Sangli, Maharashtra. Kartikay Coal Washeries Private Limited, our Subsidiary, commissioned its first coal beneficiation plant in Yeotmal, Maharashtra with an initial capacity of 1.08 MTPA. Coal beneficiation capacity of the plant at Dipka increased to 12 MTPA.
Aryan Energy expansion in Gauri, Maharashtra
Aryan Energy Private Limited, our Subsidiary further expanded its operations by commissioning a new coal beneficiation plant with an initial capacity of 0.99 MPTA in Gauri, Maharashtra.
Thermal power plant commissioning and power purchase agreements
30 MW coal based thermal power plant was commissioned at Chakabura, Chhattisgarh. We entered into a power purchase agreement with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited for the sale of 200 MW of power to Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited from our 2×135 MW thermal power project in village Kasaipali, Chhattisgarh. Execution of PPA with GUVNL for sale of 200 MW of power from our 270 MW thermal power project in Chhattisgarh.
Agreements and commissioning of coal beneficiation plant
Execution of Implementation Agreement with the Government of Chhattisgarh and Chhattisgarh State Electricity Board for establishment of a 250 ± 20% MW thermal power project in village Kasaipali, Chhattisgarh. Commissioning of coal beneficiation plant with an initial capacity of 6.25 MTPA at Gevra, Chhattisgarh. Aryan M.P. Power Generation Private Limited, our Subsidiary, signed an implementation agreement with the Government of Madhya Pradesh for establishment of a 1,200 MW coal fired thermal power project in District Sidhi, Madhya Pradesh.
Acquisitions and commissioning of coal beneficiation plant
Acquisition of 100% equity stake in Spectrum Coal and Power Limited, a company engaged in the business of coal beneficiation and also in the process of setting up 2x50 MW thermal power plant in village Ratija, Chhattisgarh. Acquisition of 51% stake in TRN Energy Private Limited, a company proposing to set up a 2×300 MW thermal power plant in district Raigarh, Chhattisgarh. Commissioning of coal beneficiation plant at Binjhri, Chhattisgarh with an initial capacity of 0.96 MTPA.
Implementation agreements for thermal power projects
Execution of implementation agreements with Government of Chhattisgarh for establishing a 1100+20% MW coal fired thermal power project at village Champa, Chhattisgarh and 1x30 MW coal based thermal power project in village Chakabura, Chhattisgarh.
Commissioning of coal beneficiation plant and power project
Commissioning of coal beneficiation plant at Hemgir, Odisha with an initial capacity of 5 MTPA. Commissioning of the first unit of the 2x135 MW power project in the Korba district, Chhattisgarh.

Enhanced equity shareholding and power plant commissioning
Enhancement of equity shareholding in TRN Energy Private Limited from 51% to 74%. Spectrum Coal and Power Limited, our Subsidiary, commissioned its 1×50 MW coal based thermal power plant at Ratija, Korba, Chhattisgarh. Acquisition of 26% equity shareholding in Swastik Power & Mineral Resources Private Limited, a company running a 0.90 MTPA coal washery plant at village Kanberi, Korba, Chhattisgarh and setting up a 2×25 MW thermal power plant at village Kanberi, Korba, Chhattisgarh. Received Letter of Intent (LoI) from BCCL to establish a 1.6 MTPA Dahibari NLW Coal Washery beneficiation plant in Dahibari, Jharkhand, on a Built, Operate & Maintenance basis.
Phase II power plant commissioning and LOI receipt
Phase II of 2 x 30MW Chakabura Power Plant was commissioned at Chakabura, Chhattisgarh. Receipt of LOI to establish a 10 MTPA coal beneficiation plant at Basundhara, Odisha on a Build, Operate and Maintain basis.
Acquisition of SV Power and power project commissioning
Acquisition of SV Power Private Limited, a company running a 2.50 MTPA coal washery plant at village Renki, District Korba, Chhattisgarh and a 63 MW coal based thermal power plant at village Renki, District Korba, Chhattisgarh (through Spectrum Coal and Power Limited). Maruti Clean Coal and Power Limited commissioned a 1×300 MW power project in the Korba district, Chhattisgarh.
Power project commissioning and agreements
First unit of 2 x 300MW TPP of TRN Energy Private Limited commissioned. Signing of agreement with BCCL, to establish a 2.5 MTPA coal beneficiation plant at Patherdih, Jharkhand on a Build, Operate and Maintain basis. Receipt of LoI from BCCL for the establishment of a 2.5 MTPA coal beneficiation plant at Bhujodih, West Bengal.
Power project commissioning and environment clearance
Second unit of 2 x 300MW thermal power plant of TRN Energy Private Limited commissioned. Environment Clearance received to establish a 10 MTPA coal beneficiation plant at Basundhara, Odisha on a Build, Operate and Maintain basis.
Coal washery commissioning
1.6 MTPA coal washery at Dahibari, Jharkhand commissioned.
